Rally Overview

The Galloway Hills Rally has taken place in the forests of south west Scotland since 1974, and we are delighted to be celebrating our 50th Anniversary at this year’s event on Saturday 13th September.

The 2025 event also marks the 25-year anniversary of sponsorship from Dumfries-based Construction and Renewables specialists, The Armstrong Group, who have backed the event since the year 2000.

The event would also not be possible without the cooperation and assistance of our local Forestry & Land Scotland team, and the enthusiastic support of our individual Event Partners and loyal local suppliers.

The Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally has been a round of the popular Scottish Rally Championship since 2016, and was voted ‘Best Event’ in the series in 2017 and 2021. We are pleased to continue to welcome both the Northern Historic Gravel Rally Championship and Autoshop.co.uk MG3 Rally Challenge as well.

This website and the event’s social media channels (search @gallowayhills) will be regularly updated with information ahead of the Rally in September, and Event Promoters Solway, Machars and East Ayrshire Car Clubs welcome Competitors, Marshals and Spectators to join them on some of the best stages south west Scotland has to offer for a celebration of fifty years of competition and camaraderie at “the Hills”.
