The Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally

SATURDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2024

August 11th, 2021

Regulations available for the 2021 Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally

Supplementary Regulations for the 2021 Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally have now been published in the Competitors section of the website, with entries scheduled to open at 8pm tonight (11th August).

Founded in 1974, the 47th running of the event is scheduled to take place on Saturday 11th September, and will mark the 21-year anniversary of sponsorship from Dumfries-based Construction and Renewables specialists, The Armstrong Group, who have enthusiastically supported the event since the year 2000.

The event will be the penultimate scoring round of the 2021 KNC Groundworks Motorsport UK Scottish Rally Championship, and priority will be given to entries from competitors registered for the Scottish series, and equally to those who may not be registered but have supported the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally by entering at least once in the last 3 years (2017 – 2019). Entry parameters are set out in the Supplementary Regulations, which Competitors are encouraged to read before entering.

To stay within the letter and the spirit of the current Covid regulations, event organisers Solway, Machars and East Ayrshire Car Clubs have planned the event in an abridged format, with no ceremonial elements and a compact route of six stages in the Galloway Forests. We hope that Competitors old and new find the compact nature no less of a challenge, and that next year will see us move back towards a more traditional event format.
