'The Forest' on BBC One Scotland

Tune into BBC1 Scotland at 7.30pm tonight for ‘The Forest', a new six-part television series about the men and women who live and work in Scotland’s biggest forest: The Galloway Forest.

The programme will follow a variety of different people including forestry workers, wildlife rangers, tree planters and astronomers, and we are delighted that the 2017 Galloway Hills Rally will also be included in one of the later episodes.

The feature on the Galloway Hills Rally will focus on the hard work carried out by the whole Recreation Team from the Galloway District of Forestry Commission Scotland, as they prepare and maintain the forest roads, spectator areas and parking facilities ahead of our event. The programme will also follow our Event Sponsor, Jock Armstrong, as he scores his historic 8th overall win.

It is great to see rallying making a small appearance on terrestrial TV, and we thank Tern TV for featuring us in the series. 'The Forest' will be broadcast on BBC One Scotland every Monday at 7.30pm for six weeks.

Note: those outside Scotland can access BBC One Scotland via Sky 951 / Freesat 960 / Virgin Media 862.
